Welcome to Hands On Healing Arts
Our Philosophy
Our definition of "healing" is restoring balance to the body. This is best achieved by applying a full-body, 3-dimensional approach to therapeutic massage. Working with specific muscle groups, in the low back, for instance, tends to relieve the symptoms of pain and tension in that area, but does not always correct the problem. By expanding the area of focus, the massage therapist is better able to induce a more significant amount of relief and help to correct underlying problems, like the poor posture that lead to the back pain.
The goal of healing or balancing may be achieved not by working deeper, but by utilizing a variety of techniques and viewing the body as an entity comprised of interconnected parts, each being relevant to each other.
